Teen Sushi Making: California Roll
Sushi might look simple, but creating the perfect California Roll takes focus, creativity, and skill. In this hands-on class, teen chefs will learn the art of Japanese sushi rolling while building confidence in the kitchen and sharpening real-life skills like coordination, patience, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
w/ Chef Richelle Antipolo
Students will learn how to:
- Cook and season sushi rice
- Safely prep and slice cucumbers and avocados
- Layer, fit, and roll sushi ingredients
- Use chopsticks like a pro
Each California Roll includes crab stick/crab salad, cucumber, avocado, and masago. By the end of class, teens will have created their own fresh sushi rolls and gained new kitchen skills they can use at home.
